Here are some pics, highlights and standings from the Showdown at Sundown at Lake Las Vegas. This race offered Sprint, Olympic and Half Iron distances. We had club members participating in the Olympic and the Half Iron. The day was SUPER windy and SUPER fun!
Breanna Nelson took 1st place Overall Female in the Olympic distance with a time of 2:32:08! Way to go Breanna!
Jason Wells put in a great race with a total Half Iron distance time of 5:45:58. Here he is still smiling on the bike!
Matt Bracken placed 3rd in his age group with a total Half Iron time of 5:18:59. Don't forget to support Matt in his St. George Ironman fundraising competition, raising funds for Limbs for Haiti.
And lastly, I managed to grab 1st place in my age group with a total time of 5:53:35. My husband was able to get some great swim shots from the spectator-friendly shoreline.
